Rainy Day

It's been raining on and off all day. Temps are dropping (currently 46) as the cold front moves in. There's a rumor of flurries tomorrow night, but I'm not going to believe it 'til I see it. We do have a frost warning for tonight, however. I think my annuals have just about seen their last day. They gave me 5 months of beauty and I plan to plant even more next year.

Les, this is so beautiful and inviting. It's like a scene I would imagine in The Secret Garden. I think you have some amazing skills, both as photographer and gardener. Photography is a love of mine, I've even taken a class in hand tinting black and white photographs, but as said before my gardening skilss are P.U.!

By the way, my husband and I went to a store we like north of Chicago called Complete Birkenstock (www.completebirkenstock.com) this weekend and I felt so greedy! I can't justify another pair, but I wanted them all the same.

Aw, thanks Bellezza. It's take a few years to get to where we are, but it still feels like a work in progress. Always something I want to try or something that needs to be relocated. Maybe someday I'll post some before & after pictures.

Oooh, thanks for the link to the Birk store! Very tempting. I'm about due for a new pair. ;)

Oh, that's just lovely. I wish I had your gardening skill.

Les, I just realized I forgot to add The Inconstant Gardener when I updated my links. I'm about to get offline but nudge me if I forget, would ya? I have such a problem with my memory!

You are so sweet, Nancy. I guess I just take my garden for granted. I don't slave over it other than a few weeks in early spring (winter clean-up and fresh mulch) and at the beginning of summer (lots of annuals get planted in mid-May). Oh, and there's all the watering (no sprinkler system). ;) I guess I do work fairly hard at it.
