Sammy, the Singing Squirrel

These pictures aren't very sharp (they were shot through our French door windows that need cleaning), but I couldn't resist sharing them. This little guy sat frozen in place, with his little hands up to his chest for what seemed like minutes. Maybe the pictures are blurring from my shaking shoulders. I couldn't stop laughing!

What do you think he was singing? Cute pictures!

I've been trying to think of a clever song, but keep drawing a blank. Whatever he was singing, he seemed to be struggling a bit with stage fright. ;)

There's a song about a squirrel running through the church house and spoiling the sermon, I think. I'll have to ask my husband. What a hoot! Such cute pics, Les!

Thanks, Nancy. He was such a funny little guy. Rod and I were enjoying our lunch when I first noticed him on the deck. I crept slowly to the door and sat, waiting for him to come right up to the glass as he (or another squirrel) had done in the past. But no. He had stage fright and just sat as still as could be, like a perfect little statue. It was so funny!

les. it's like a little silent movie! I loved the creative title for this creative creature. You sure caught some great moments. Usually when I'm eating lunch I don't look up from my plate.

Bellezza, you're right! It does look a little like a silent movie. I wish you could have heard me laughing as I lay on the dining room floor, shooting these pictures. It was just so funny the way he kept posing on his hind legs. I wonder what was going through his little pea-sized brain?!
