Garden Angel

I should have this garden angel dressed in a rain slicker! It's been so unseasonably cool and rainy for the past few days. A mild 63 degrees with gray skies. Feels more like Seattle than Lincoln in August. Sure hope this doesn't mean we're in for a brutal winter. I'm not quite ready for fall!

I wish I had this angel hanging up in my classroom! I like the rustic quality, making her so real.

Bellezza - Some dear friends of ours sent the angel as a remembrance gift on the one year anniversary of our daughter's death. It's hanging on the east side of our garage, overlooking a new flower bed with other garden ornaments and a small fountain.

Hey, Sarah! I thought you might like to see where we put the angel. :) Even though you say it's weatherproof, I think I'll still bring it in when the snow begin to fall (although, maybe I'll get one picture of her dressed in snowflakes first).

Nat - I suppose I'm ready for fall, too, but it's far too short here in the Midwest. I'm simply not ready to put my shorts and sandals away yet.

I'm with Nat. I'd happily trade some of our heat for your cool weather.

Ah, well. I spoke too soon, Nancy. It got hot again. 82 today. Nothing like Nebraska weather to keep you guessing.
