Bzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The dandelions and buttercups
gild all the lawn; the drowsy bee
stumbles among the clover tops,
and summer sweetens all to me.
J.R. Lowell

Couldn't find any dandelions or buttercups, so this'll have to do.

Oh, I love this post. Les, you do the most amazing things on your blog! What a great picture, what a beautiful poem, what a sense of summer you have captured.

I wish I could garden, but at least I can enjoy an effective one!

Once I asked my husband the best kind of plant to keep on my desk at school and he said, "Silk."

Which I refuse to buy.

Awww, you're too kind. It's been fun (and challenging - thanks to Blogger!) putting this new blog together.

Maybe your hubby should provide a bouquet of fresh flowers for your desk once a week. Even a single bloom in a bud vase would be cheery. I have to admit I have a few silk flowers here and there in my house. ;)

I like the idea of a few roses from my husband! Actually, we've been buying huge bunches of eucalyptus at the Farmer's Market and I love them. They smell so great. Maybe they would work in my classroom. If not, roses for a fallback.
